La Quintessence du vin

A must-attend event in Tremblant for the benefit of Mont-Tremblant Rotary Club

On Friday, November 15, we will celebrate the 14th edition of the 'Quintessence du vin' for the benefit of the Mont-Tremblant Rotary Club. This prestigious event, bringing together more than 200 guests, is a colorful annual event. Since 2006, this event has raised $150,000.

Through the various private import wine agencies on site, guests will be able to taste different wines. Restaurant la Quintessence's chef, Geoffrey Barry and his team prepare exquisite food stations.

Peter Duncan

Member of the canadian ski team from 1960 to 1971. Won 21 individual medals at the Canadian championships in downhill,giant slalom and slalom.  Was Canadian junior champion in the winter of 1959-1960. Three times overall Canadian combine champion at the national championships.  Was U.S. national champion in 1965 and 1970.  Won the Roch Cup in Aspen in 1964 and the Roch Cup downhill in 1970.  Placed 7th at the world championships combine in Val Gardera Italy in 1970 and placed 9th in the combine at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, Austria.  Was member of the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France.

Nominated to the Canadian Ski Hall of Fame in 1985 and the Laurentian Ski Hall of Fame in 1989.  Was also elected to the Quebec Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.  Was honored by the Governor General of Canada with a medal of honor commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Confederation in recognition of his contribution to community,compatriots and country.  

His after ski racing career consisted of covering World Cup ski events and Olympics for Canada’s major French network. Olympics covered were : Sapporo 1972, Lake Placid 1980, Sarajevo 1984, Calgary 1988, Albertville 1992, Summer Olympics Barcelone 1992, Lillehammer 1994, Salt Lake City 2002, Torino 2006, Vancouver 2010 & Sotchi 2014.

Peter has discovered  his new passion :renewable and alternative energy.  He is currently President and promoter of New Energy Alternative of Canada, a communication platform and exposition assembling major corporations producing new technologies for an emerging green planet.

This long-awaited annual event will tantalize the most delicate taste buds of its guests.
