Pierre Plouffe is quite literally a world-class athlete. He won the Canadian Water Ski Championship 19 times and was awarded the Canadian Coach of the Year title in 1988. In November 2000, he was inducted into the Quebec Sports Hall of Fame. Not content to rest on his laurels, in 2006 he won the Canadian Championship in "jump, trick and overall" in the category 50 years old and over.
