André Lemaire was named coach of the year in Quebec in 1987 and 1990, as well as Canadian coach of the year in 1989. He is the only coach to have been awarded the prestigious title “coach par excellence” in all disciplines by Sports-Quebec. In 1990, he received the “Emeritas Exceptional” given by the Coaching Association of Canada.
