Pierre Plouffe is quite literally a world-class athlete. He won the Canadian Water Ski Championship 19 times and was awarded the Canadian Coach of the Year title in 1988. In November 2000, he was inducted into the Quebec Sports Hall of Fame. Not content to rest on his laurels, in 2006 he won the Canadian Championship in “jump, trick and overall” in the category 50 years old and over.

Director of the “Tremblant Golf Academy” since the year it first opened, in 2000, Pierre Brisebois was promoted in 2003 to the new “Le Maître Academy” at Le Maître de Mont Tremblant golf course, a ClubLink Premium Member Club chosen by Golf Digest as one of the “2002 Best New Golf Courses in North America”.

A 27-year veteran with the Canadian PGA, Pierre has been honored in the past several years as Teacher Emeritus by the Quebec PGA, as “2003 Teacher of the Year”, and as “2002 Teacher of the Year Finalist”. In 2005, he received his highest distinction to date when he was nominated as a “Top Regional Teacher” by Golf Magazine and chosen as a Top 25 Teachers in Canada. André Lemaire spent the early years of his professional tennis career developing and becoming the head pro and/or director of several major Quebec tennis facilities.

He was named coach of the year in Quebec in 1987 and 1990, as well as Canadian coach of the year in 1989. He is the only coach to have been awarded the prestigious title "coach par excellence" in all disciplines by Sports-Quebec. In 1990, he received the "Emeritas Exceptional" given by the Coaching Association of Canada.

In 1987, he organized the first tennis sports-study program in Quebec and started supervising elite athletes on the international circuit. It was under his supervision that Sebastien Lareau and Sebastien Leblanc won Wimbledon in England and Roland Garros in France; Sebastien Lareau became one of the top 100 in the world.

In 1998, André left the competitive circuit to focus on the teaching and training method that he had developed on the international tennis circuit. For the past six years, he has been running the André Lemaire International Tennis Academy at Mont Tremblant. He has developed an enthusiastic and loyal following because of his personalized and dynamic approach.

The Grands Vins au Q workshop is for wine lovers in the making. Ideas to be discussed will include the history of wine, styles of wines, how wines are made, vocabulary, tasting, and selecting wines to accompany various foods.

The Atelier, or Workshop, will be two hours long and interactive. There will be question periods and tasting of great wines made from various grapes, as well as workshops on the harmonies between wine and sauce so that the participant gains an understanding of wine-food chemistry. This overview of your Atelier will, we hope, inspire you to deepen your interest in wine.
